Neartime Reporting

Dashboards provide users with short interval control of the tasks they are responsible for. Providing a near time overview of the commercial performance of their section, RAG status on task performance, as well as the ability to drill down into the site information that produces the dashboards.

The project delivery structure (geographical or by workstream) and the cost breakdown structure are both incorporated into the system. With users, resources, allowances and costs all being associated with the relevant delivery area

Resources, both tender and project, are included in the system. Labels and resource codes are centrally controlled and defined to ensure consistency across the system.

Collaborative planning is undertaken in lookahead programme. As-built programmes gather the site information and produce a RAG status to show task performance, allowing short interval control to be undertaken and allowing meaningful change to be initiated when it can still make a change to tasks.

Resource suppliers and rates are included in the system, allowing actual resource rates to be used by the system in determining task and section costs. Working Rule agreements, or any project/supplier specific agreements, are also included to help determine applicable resource costs.

Actual project resources are included in the system, with the specific rates applicable to each resource. The resources are assigned to delivery sections ensuring that are selectable on the foreman’s app. Utilisation and associated costs are recorded against each resource to feed as-built programmes and dashboards.

Daily allocation sheets are reviewed by the agent. This allows the tasks to be progressed in the programme. The review of the allocation sheets also generates and populates the costs that are associated with the tasks.

Key Performance Indicators are decided upon by the project. Descriptions are standardised for easier analysis. Where a KPI is mandated, this KPI record is used to generate the earned value in the as-built programmes and dashboards.

The system allows for different shift patterns to be used throughout the year. Shift patterns are selected for look-ahead programmes, this influences the hours that are automatically generated when adding task to the Gantt charts. It also impacts the potential unallocated resource costs where the programme as agreed minimum charge out periods.
